Independence Harbor has experienced two prominent lawsuits of recent record, these are:

Independence Harbor Condominium Association, Inc
V
Hartz Mountain Industries Inc. et al.

In February 2002, a civil action lawsuit was filed against the developer Hartz River Road Limited Partnership and Hartz Mountain industries by the Independence Harbor Condominium Association, Inc. in The Superior Court of New Jersey - Law Division: Bergen County.
The judgment was granted in the favor of Independence Harbor Condominium Association. Settlement between plaintiff and defendants occurred in August 2004.

Independence Harbor Condominium Association, Inc

Noel Turner (Owner and operator of the website independenceharbor.com)

In March 2006, a civil action was filed against Mr Noel Turner, a resident and condo owner in Independence Harbor. The spirit of the filing was to garner ownership and control of the web site operating under the URL of www.independenceharbor.com The complaint was filed with the National Arbitration Forum which operates under the global ICANN rules.
The judgment was granted in favor of Mr Turner in May 2006.
